The FPS Group began with one practical problem: how to protect a home that had flooded.

That experience led to Flood Protection Solutions Ltd, helping people manage existing flood risk through practical protection equipment, flood barriers, installation works and risk advice.

Flood & Water Pumps also grew out of necessity. Through our work with Flood Protection Solutions Ltd, we saw that many people either had the wrong pump or did not have suitable equipment at all. The site was created to make high-quality water pumps easier to understand, easier to choose and easier to access.

It became clear that managing existing risk is only part of the answer. Better outcomes often come much earlier, through the way land is investigated, planned, drained, levelled, designed and maintained.

FPS Environmental Ltd was founded later to bring together a team of engineers and consultants working across a broader spectrum of civil engineering, drainage, flood risk, SuDS, environmental consultancy and placemaking.
